This house was made famous in 1651.
King Charles II was defeated at the Battle of Worcester and was on the run. Apparently he hid here from soldiers and took shelter and food. He then escaped to Europe before being restored to his throne in 1660.
There are some conflicting stories but he hid in an oak tree all day then was allowed inside the house for fresh clothes and food. He was very tall and also was put inside a priest hole until he could move on.
I found the energy in the house heavy, meaning there is a lot of history there definitely but not positive feelings. It’s not on the ley line so might explain the negatives.
There is a walled garden with vegetables currently and the old oak tree is destroyed but new ones have been planted from its acorns and our King Charles III had planted another oak tree a few years ago on the anniversary of the event.
