Endings

Apologies for an absence but I’ve been winding up my UK trip. Leaving Newquay was a bit sad as I knew things were changing. For some reason for the last 2 weeks I could only get Classics FM. Wasn’t too bad with flight of the bumblebee and Harry Potter theme, Goldfinger but hey, is the south limited with music or had I pressed something? Mr Q maybe has exclusive tastes?

I had one more stop at Yeovil to break the journey and make it easier with Mr Q (my hire car) going back to (star ship) Enterprise. Anything but ha ha 😝.

You would think this an easy task but traffic and not easily knowing the drop off point. Mr T says you have arrived at your destination 🧐😳. A truck with hazard lights, a roundabout and need for the toilet doesn’t help.

Anyway all good. Car return in good order albeit a parking fine! I count my blessings, my friend Clare is there with an open boot and a hug 🤗. Mr Tomkins goes away into his box. So some sad goodbyes, some relief, and a new journey to look forward to. A few days respite and then packing for home via the Mediterranean. I did pretty well with the packing considering. Perhaps a shorter journey next time with less need for winter and summer clothes. This was an insightful enjoyable journey so far.
