Parking in this town was not fun. The spaces are narrow. After much ado I found a carpark and reversed in ok. Of course the meter only takes coins so had to go back after lunch at the “hundred monkeys” 🙊 to put more in.
After sustenance and lotsa footsteps I felt called to go to the Tor, a place of great spiritual importance. At the top is an ancient medieval church of which only the tower remains. Keep in mind it’s at the top of a steep hill and it might be wise to assess your health and breathing capacity before attempting it. After walking up a road with some incline I climbed the steps up and flopped at the top in dire need of CPR. Ambulance helicopters came to mind as well as death at the Tor. I laid on the grass for some time contemplating my demise. Then up I sprang realising I needed water. Had I refilled my bottle? You know don’t you.
Unfortunately I did not feel energy touching the tower but the Tor is a beautiful place to breathe in its majesty, once you can breathe. So much closer to the sky.
I do not like heights and it was mighty high. Apparently there was an easier way down- thank the Lord.
I completed my trip at the White Spring, filled my water bottle and watched naked people bathing in the spring. Lucky it was dark. The energy was palpable in there. Was I hallucinating? On to the Chalice Well (long associated with healing properties) where I filled another bottle with pure chalice spring water from a lions head tap, went to the King Arthur court healing pool (18th century) bathed my feet in the red iron water (which you can’t drink) and meditated. It was enormously powerful at the well.
I limped back to the car once again. 😎🙈
Glastonbury like Byron Bay has a strange energy. I think it’s meant to have good energy but so many people with different agendas.
I’ve realised after the last two days at spiritual places that all visiting there are on a different journey to me and frequency and you cannot assume peace and tranquillity!

An entertaining blog Scarlett. Liked your description of your arduous climb, your collapse and then finding you had no water and your encounter with naked people. Nice that you found strong energy at the Challice Well.
Oh you made me laugh with your description of collapsing at the top of the Tor and needing CPR. Well done for making it up there! Personally, I enjoy the view from the bottom.
