September 27. This wet day started ok as I was near the A1 to get back on my journey but I missed the exit. This was my fault. I could have turned round but allowed my GPS Mr Tomkins as I call him get me back on the road to Aylesbury 🙈.
Not too bad but then I put in Forest of Dean for my King Arthur trail and Mr T wanted me to go up on a motorway up north. Motorways are sometimes ok but they have had some flooding this week and can be busy. So I somehow worked out how to go a direct way. These roads can be slow but just one lane and pretty countryside. All was well as Mr T kicked in but then he took me off the A road which I thought was a shortcut but ended up back on the A road so although scenic I was exhausted by this time. Stopped for a hot chocolate and attempted to go again to the King Arthur caves. Ended up on a narrow road and so tired I turned round to go to my accommodation. Mr T led me up to a farm. 🤔
A few minutes later I found the Travelodge. Nicer room tonight and not number 13 , a step up to 14.
Long day.

Sounds like an adventure Scarlett albeit a tiring one. Onwards now lol.
