September 27. A very wet day but found the church.
It’s on the ley line. Many churches in the Middle Ages were named after Mary. For 300 years the lead clad clock turret on top of the medieval tower has crowned the town’s skyline.
It has a font of Norman origin about 1180 and the church was built around this time. I met a lovely lady called Heather who told me all about the community activities.
