Road trip. I had strong words with Mr Tomkins today. First we had a closed road then he wanted to take me on small B roads, turn right, turn right…

I resolved to follow the advice of the place I was headed to. They said

finally I get it. It did take longer but I got there in one piece. Good behaviour on the way back except for unclear directions when we hit the road closure again. Let’s say I didn’t know Newquay had so much to look at.

The 200 acre Heligan estate had belonged to a family for 400 years. In WW1 9 of 13 of the outdoor staff (who joined up) died at war. The gardens were lost. In 1990 a descendant of the family arranged for its reconstruction. They found a thunder box room (gardeners toilet). The imperial war museum registered it as a living memorial to the gardeners of Heligan house. Interesting focal point 🤔😎There is a lot to see and they have done an amazing job restoring a Cornish garden swallowed up by neglect and exuberant brambles.

I had a very happy time exploring nooks and crannies and feeling at peace in nature. The birds and animals were happy too. I met Valerie and Pete and their dogs Molly and Charlie from Norwich. I was explaining about my ley line journey. This place is near the ley line and it certainly had good energy. There was a rope bridge but as I was at the wrong end of it as usual I decided not to use it 🤣. I got ‘lost’ several times in this garden !!
